As a courtesy to our clients we request that mobile phones be on silent while in the salon and that if you must bring children into the salon that they are supervised at all times. At Sibu Beauty we appreciate a quiet and tranquil environment.

Welcome to Sibu Skin & Beauty! These Terms & Conditions outline what you can expect when booking and receiving treatments with us. By booking with us, you agree to these terms. We’re all about making sure your experience is positive and smooth, but these guidelines help keep everything running as it should!

 

appointment preparation

We want your experience to be as smooth and comfortable as possible, so please let us know ahead of time if you’re pregnant, have any allergies, or if there’s anything health-related we need to be aware of. This helps us make sure we’re providing the best treatment for you. When you arrive, we might ask you to fill out a consultation form, and that info is kept safe with us and used only to ensure your treatment is the right fit for you. 🌸

cancellation & no-show policy

We understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the slot to another client. If the cancellation is made within 24 hours or if you’re a no-show, a 50% charge will apply. Same-day cancellations or rescheduling, as well as no-shows, will incur the full treatment cost. If you were to use a gift voucher or loyalty points, they will be voided up to the value of the missed appointment. 🌿 We know things come up, and we’ll always handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis.

Genuine emergencies:

We get that life can throw curveballs. We’re always happy to be understanding, but please note that exceptions are rare, and we’ll apply fees where necessary to ensure fairness to all.

gift vouchers

Our gift vouchers are valid until the expiry date specified and can't be redeemed or replaced after that date. They are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not exchangeable for cash. Vouchers can only be used for services and can't be combined with any other promotions or special offers. Each voucher is for one person’s use only.

We’re unable to replace or reimburse vouchers that are lost, stolen, or used fraudulently, so please keep them safe. If you’re unsure about the validity of a voucher, feel free to reach out before your appointment, and we’ll be happy to confirm.

While we take great care in providing the best treatments and using quality products, we understand that every individual’s skin can react differently. If you experience a negative reaction after a treatment, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can help you. We’ll do our best to assist with calming or treating the skin.

Please make sure to inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions before your treatment, as this helps us tailor our services to your needs. Your safety and comfort are our top priority, and we’re here to create the best possible experience for you.

skin reactions & liability

We are committed to offering high-quality, safe treatments, but sometimes skin can react unexpectedly. If this happens, please contact us immediately. We’ll do our best to help calm the skin and offer support.

We cannot cover the cost of any external treatments (like doctor’s visits or corrective products), unless the reaction is due to an error on our part, and prior payment arrangements have been made.

To help avoid unwanted reactions, please follow our aftercare advice carefully. If the reaction is due to not following the aftercare instructions or a pre-existing condition, we cannot be held responsible for additional costs or refunds.

force majeure

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (like natural disasters or government restrictions), we may need to cancel or reschedule appointments. We will do our best to accommodate you, but we won’t be held liable for any inconvenience this may cause.

price changes

Each year, we review our prices to ensure we're continuing to provide top-quality service while keeping up with rising costs, including supplies, wages, and other business expenses. Our annual price increase typically takes effect from 1 July. If you book an appointment in June, you’ll be charged at the current prices. Any bookings made from 1 July onwards will be at the updated rates. We always aim to apply new prices by 1 August at the latest, so please check in with us if you’re unsure about pricing!

changes to terms & conditions

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms & Conditions at any time. Whenever we make updates, we'll notify you via our newsletter. To stay informed and up-to-date on any changes, we encourage you to be on our mailing list. We’ll also include gentle reminders in our newsletter to ensure you don’t miss anything important.

bookings & payments

To make booking as simple as possible, we accept the following payment methods:

  • In-Salon: Cash, Credit/Debit Card

  • Online: PayPal, Stripe, Credit Card

A booking deposit may be required for longer or more expensive treatments. For group bookings, we’ll need a minimum deposit to cover at least one person’s no-show cost.

If you’re booking for someone else, they’re still subject to the same policies.

refunds & adjustments

We take the time to ensure you’re happy with your treatment, so please let us know if something isn’t right before you leave, and we’ll do our best to fix it. If you have an issue with retention (e.g., lashes falling out or nails chipping), we’ll gladly re-do the treatment to meet your expectations.

However, once a treatment is completed and you’ve left, we do not offer refunds. We encourage you to speak up if you’re not satisfied before we finish so we can make it right for you!

loyalty points

You earn loyalty points every time you visit us, and they can be used for a range of services—not just your usual treatments. Feel free to try something new! However, loyalty points cannot be used in conjunction with special offers or vouchers. Points do expire, and they will be void if you do not show up for your appointment.

treatment results

We’re all about delivering the best results for you, and we use top-quality techniques and products to make that happen. However, because everyone’s skin is unique, results can vary depending on factors like your skin type, medical history, lifestyle, and how closely you follow your aftercare advice. While we aim to give you the best possible outcome, we can’t guarantee specific results, as your skin’s response may differ.

If we believe there’s a treatment better suited to your goals or that you may not achieve the results you’re hoping for with a particular treatment, we’ll always recommend an alternative option. What we can promise is that we’ll be with you every step of the way, guiding you to achieve your skin goals with care and expertise.

health & safety

Your health and safety are our top priority. Before any treatment, you must fill out a health questionnaire to help us identify any conditions or medications that might impact the treatments we offer (e.g., light sensitivity, skin thinning medications, etc.).

We cannot proceed with certain treatments if they could harm you based on the information provided in your form. It’s important that you’re honest and transparent with us so we can give you the safest and best treatment possible.

liability

While we always strive to deliver the best service, we cannot be held liable for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from our treatments unless it’s due to our negligence. This includes skin reactions or personal injury during treatments.

We are also not responsible for any lost or stolen personal belongings while you're in the salon.

For your safety, please let us know about any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions before your treatment. We’ll use this info to tailor your experience and ensure your visit is as safe and enjoyable as possible. And don’t forget to remind us each time—two minds are better than one!

privacy & data protection

We take your privacy seriously and are committed to ensuring your personal information is handled securely. Any personal details you share with us will be stored securely and used only for the purpose of providing our services to you, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may use trusted third-party platforms like Timely salon software, Mailchimp, and other secure tools to store or manage your information. These services are used to streamline your bookings, send you updates, and keep in touch with you. We never share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes, unless required by law or with your consent.

governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Australian law, including ACCC and consumer laws. We follow the Fair Work Act and always adhere to relevant Australian laws to ensure that we’re acting with fairness and integrity.
